1-1 Mentorship

Archery, Nature Connection & Hunting

As a Mentor, I facilitate connection and experiential learning. We utilize the practice of Traditional Archery and the Core Routines of Nature Connection to cultivate more than just awareness and skills. The path of Nature Connection and our relationship with the food we eat is a lifelong journey of deeply nourishing relationship to Place. It is my experience that this relationship needs to be tended and when it is the Human Soul is nourished to a state of Health and Aliveness.

Why Mentorship

Mentorship allows us to slow down. I know how hard it can be to make time for the things in life that are truly good for us, the things that connect us to the earth, our food, ourselves, and each other. We can all agree that time spent in nature is inherently good for us. I believe that this is only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the nourishment that is available to us when we practice and consciously cultivate our relationship to Place. With 1-1 Mentorship you will be given guidance in learning the necessary skills and awareness to cultivate your own hunting and nature connection practice.

The relationships I have been able to cultivate with Place through hunting, fishing, foraging, wandering, tracking, and survival living are all thanks to Mentors I have had along the way. Now I cherish the opportunity to humbly walk beside the people I work with as a Mentor so that they may follow their curiosity to deep relationship and aliveness.

Hunting as a Holistic and Interdisciplinary Practice of Relationship to Place

Mentorship will include experiential learning opportunities in:

  • Archery

  • Tracking

  • Bird Language

  • Stealth

  • Sensory Awareness

  • Navigation

  • Survival Living

  • Whole Animal Butchery

  • Tending Death, Grief, and Gratitude

While each area of focus could receive a lifetime of curiosity and devotion my hope is that through engaging with these diverse practices you will be able to cultivate foundational skills and awareness to then spend the rest of your life exploring with further mentorship or on your own.
